Combining the power of Systems and Design

A short story about the
System Mapping Academy

We are a team of design and systems thinking experts, passionate about developing methods, tools and programs to support you in embracing complexity.

The System Mapping Academy grew out of a community-of-practice based in Berlin (Systemic Design Group). Starting in 2019, we jointly explored the intersections of design and systems thinking approaches with like-minded people and organizations.

Experiencing the strength of visualizations to bring stakeholders together and to gain clarity on complex issues, we continued to apply System Mapping in our projects. With the idea to make System Thinking more approachable and provide everyone the capacities to apply System Mapping, we founded the System Mapping Academy in 2021.

Since then we ran trainings, webinars and lectures across the world. Besides capacity building we are also supporting governments and organizations in implementing system mapping projects in various sectors. In all our endeavors we aim to empower people to use System Mapping in an easy and applicable way, to address the challenges they are working on.
